The Light House relies on in-kind donations from our generous community to ensure that our clients’ most basic needs are met. Due to limited storage space and health code regulations, we have developed the following donation guidelines. We are very committed to being good stewards of your donations by only accepting items we will be able to use.
Accepted items must be delivered WEEKDAYS between 8am – 5pm to 10 Hudson Street, Annapolis, unless special arrangements are made.

Items We Cannot Accept
(based on health codes/needs/storage limitations)
• Expired/Opened Food • Bread • Used stuffed animals/toys • Medicine/Medical accessories (crutches, etc.) • Home décor/seasonal items • Large appliances • Used pillows/mattresses • Baby items (car seats, strollers, etc.)
• Used electronics (TVs, VHS/DVD players, computers, printers, modems, etc.)

• Perishable/leftover food • New/like new towels • New/like new blankets • New/like new sheet sets (twin and full) • New/like new books/games/DVD’s • Travel size toiletries • Bikes (take to Bike Doctor on corner of Hudson Street/West St) • Furniture • Local Retailers (retail goods)
Items We Always Accept
